10 inch Dutch Oven
1/4 cup Butter
1 pound baby carrots
1/2 cup honey
2 TBS Brown Sugar
Place butter in a warm dutch oven and melt. Add carrots and then pour honey over the top and sprinkle with the brown sugar. Cover and bake 30 minutes at 325 using 8 coals on the bottom and 10 on top. makes 6 servings.
1 cup light brown sugar
1 cup granulated white sugar
1 1/2 cups self rising flour
1 cup cooking oil
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
1 1/2 cups ground pecans
Mix or beat all ingredients,cook at 350 degrees about 20 to 30 minutes
Done when toothpick stuck in center comes out clean.

I like to welcome everyone to our little place. We are a group of dutch oven cookers who love cooking with all kinds of cast iron in Virginia. We host DOG’s( Dutch Oven Gatherings) and preform demos at local places showing what can be cooked in dutch ovens. Our members come from northern Virginia to southern Virginia to tidewater area. With 2013 coming up lot events are being worked on to spread the word of the art of dutch oven cooking. Hope to see you at one of the many events.
