2 cans (17.5 oz each) Pillsbury® Grands!® Flaky Supreme refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
1 medium tart apple, peeled, chopped
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/4 cup butter, melted
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 12 inch Dutch Oven with shortening or cooking spray. Set aside icing tubs from cinnamon rolls. Separate each can of dough into 5 rolls; cut into quarters. Peel and chop the apple. Place apple in small bowl. In another small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Add 1/4 cup sugar mixture to apple; toss to coat. Sprinkle half of apple pieces in pan. Roll half of dough pieces in sugar mixture; place on apples in pan. Sprinkle with remaining apple pieces. Roll remaining dough pieces in sugar mixture; place on apples. Pour melted butter over top. Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown across top. Cool 10 minutes; run knife around edge of pan to loosen. Place heatproof serving plate over pan and turn over; remove pan. Cool 10 minutes longer. Drizzle reserved icing over top of bread, allowing some to drizzle down sides. Pull apart to serve; serve warm.
Old Dominion Iron Chefs is having a BBQ DOG on June 1st at Faith Baptist Church 10124 Royerton Drive, Henrico, Virginia 23228. The Church is kind enough to let us use there fellowship hall for our DOG. We will have a smoker doing some meats. We like ask for rsvp so we know how much meat to get for the smoker. Also we like a donation of $5 per person to help cover the cost of the meats,plates and a donation to the church to say thank you. We ask if you are coming to bring what you want to cook from meats to side dishes to desserts!!!!! Food will need to be on the table at 3 pm. 1 pkg. German Chocolate cake
1 can Sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
1 jar Caramel or butterscotch topping( i use Caramel)
1 container Cool Whip
2 king size your favorite candy bar crushed (i have used Heath and twix)
Bake cake as per directions in a 9×13 or 12 inch DO. Take cake from oven or DO and still warm poke holes all over top with a wooden spoon. Pour can of sweetened condensed milk into holes. Then pour in caramel or butterscotch topping into holes. Cover with cool whip after cake cools then sprinkle with crushed candy bars. VERY RICH but DELICIOUS!!!!!!
This was made for the demo at Pocahontas State Park its a Chocoalate Pineapple upside down cake. here is the recipe:
12 oz pineapple rings
1 box chocolate cake mix
ingrediants on cake mix as needed(eggs, oil, water, etc)
1 jar marichi…no cherries
1/4 cup brown sugar
4 TBLS butter
put butter in and melt once melted place brown sugar then place pineapple rings in a layer on the bottom. place cherries in the holes and between the rings as desired. mix all cake ingrediants and pour cake mix over fruit. spread 10 bricks of charcoal under dutch oven and the remainder on top spaced evenly. check in 10 min with a knife or clean stick. if cake mix sticks, cover for 5 min and repeat check as nessisary.
